OEGlobal26 roles: Steering Committee
Marilyn Billings previously served as the head of the Office of Scholarly Communication at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a position she held from 2006 until her recent retirement. She continues to provide leadership and education in alternative scholarly communication strategies, and open scholarship topics, author rights, open access, open education, and library publishing initiatives.
Recent projects have included coordinating the Publishing Support Team for the ROTEL (Remixing Open Textbooks with an Equity Lens) project funded by the Dept of Education. In addition, Marilyn continues to serve on the Massachusetts Open & Low-Cost Educational Resources Advisory Council as an emeritus member.
