About the Conference

Open Education Global is proud to co-host the OEGlobal Conference with partner institutions annually.

The conference is the main venue for Open Education practitioners, policy builders, advocates, researchers, students, and decision-makers to share practices, network, and initiate collaborations. Participants collectively discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in open education and share their perspectives on its future direction. 

The 2026 conference, organised by  MIT OpenCourseWare in collaboration with the Massachusetts Open Education Resources (OER) Advisory Council and Open Education Global (OEGlobal), will be offered both in-person and online to enable even more members of our community to participate and is now scheduled for October 7- 9, 2026. It will mark the 18th anniversary of OEGlobal’s founding as the OpenCourseWare Consortium and the 25th anniversary of MIT OpenCourseWare.
