Patti Hergott M.APL ICD.D (She/Her) is the Dean of Research and Academic Innovation at NorQuest College in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Patti has 28 years of educational experience: 22 years in Post-secondary Leadership, 8 years having taught English as Second Language at the college level and in the K-12 sector, both in and outside of Canada. Her leadership mission is to ensure accessible educational opportunities to all students; and two, to strengthen the post-secondary system through new ways of thinking and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Meeting the needs of students through innovative delivery models has been a focus throughout her career and is demonstrated through significant program development and expansion. Patti has been awarded two leadership awards, The NorQuest College Leadership Award and the International Chair Academy’s Idahlynn Karre Exemplary Leadership Award for the ability to advance academic and administrative leadership on Campus. Patti spends most of her free time with her son, Kaelin and their dog, Krosby, exploring the beauty of Alberta.
