Constance Blomgren

Constance Blomgren is an Associate professor in the Open, Digital and Distance Education Master of Education programs at Athabasca University. She teaches and researches about openness in education. Connie is an associate editor for the International Review of Open and Distributed Learning, a member of the Open Educational Resources Advocacy committee for the International Council of Distance Education, and a board member for Open Education Global. Connie  acknowledges the lands of the Niitsítpiis-stahkoii ᖹᐟᒧᐧᐨᑯᐧ ᓴᐦᖾᐟ (Blackfoot) Nation, the traditional territories of the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina, and the Iyarhe Nakoda nations; also part of the Métis Homeland in the present day Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta. Connie is honored to have her home in this area and takes personal responsibility to understand our shared history and her personal role in conciliation and reconciliation.
