Program Co-Chair

Darrion Letendre is the InSTEM and Land-Based Learning Coordinator. Originally from Treaty No. 8 Territory, he is a proud and humble guest currently living, working, and playing within, and around, Amiskwaciwâskahikan (ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ), Treaty No. 6 Territory. As a network member instructor with ACTUA Canada, he has been dedicated to creating open, accessible, barrier-free, and culturally relevant STEM learning experiences for Indigenous youth and students. He has a tremendous passion for education, and in particular, education which unlocks the potential of Indigenous ways of knowing and being. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring Edmonton’s river valley with his wife and pup Meeko, collecting first-edition novels, practicing his golf swing, and playing his ukulele.
