The panel will deal with opportunities and challenges of MOOC development and MOOC usage in Africa. Participants will discuss questions related to policy development, the importance of the connection between OER and MOOCs for Africa and last but not least the options to establish a contextualised design approach for MOOCs by African institutions. Last but not least the discussion will be contextualized by the Sustainable Development Goals by UNESCO with a specific focus on SDG 4 (Quality Education).
