Change the world through OERs (we’re not kidding)! Inclusive design, accessibility, diversity, and how difference makes us stronger

Inclusive Design Research Centre OCAD University

Action Lab 2 hours

We are all designers; we all have great design ideas, the capacity for deep empathy, and the ability to understand complex problems. Join this hands-on workshop if you would like to unleash your inner designer to tackle big problems like reaching learners who are falling through the cracks (while delightfully engaging those who aren’t). Take an Inclusive Design approach to education, to content creation, and to teaching (and learning) and see how it can help you collaboratively tackle big problems, build strong relationships and communities, and spread those successes, combating cynicism. It just might save the world!

Join this hands-on workshop to spend time thinking about how OERs can be made accessible to all learners, closing gaps and helping all learners reach their unique potential.

Participants will engage in co-design activities to prototype learning resources and processes that foster diversity and inclusion in our classrooms and in our society.
