Action Lab 2 hours

In this Action Lab session titled, “120 Minutes of Messy Exploration,” participants will explore learning designs (LD) that encourage use of open educational resources (OER) as part of open educational practices (OEP). The presenter will propose three learning designs and participants will build them up, tear them down, discuss, debate, and select a winning design that they believe has the highest potential to expand OEP and use of OER. Insights on how to improve the process of OER-based learning designs for adult, community, and higher education learners and educators will be discussed. The session will be guided, and time and tasks supported by the presenter. Reflection on the process, and all session work product will be shared openly. The presenter will be collecting audio and other participant data (with ethics board and participant permission) as part of a mixed methods action research study (early cycle).
