The town of Banff<\/strong> is located in Banff National Park, less than 150 km west of the bustling city of Calgary, Alberta, in the heart of Western Canada. The town boasts one of the most picturesque settings in the world, surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains and the peaceful Bow River. \u00a0The town of Banff is an ideal mountain resort, offering a small town feel with big town appeal: from quaint boutiques and friendly cafes to world-class dining, skilled artisans, and outfitters for every outdoor adventure. \u00a0Everything is accessible by foot, bus or bike, and the town is serviced by frequent shuttles from Calgary International Airport.Banff National Park is Canada\u2019s first national park, founded in 1885. The park embraces 6640 square kilometers of natural wonders, from glacier-fed lakes to soaring peaks to alpine meadows to glorious waterfalls. Outdoor enthusiasts share the park with wildlife large and small, from furry marmots and rock rabbits to mountain goats and great horned sheep, to stately bear, elk and moose. \nThe nearest international airport to Banff is in Calgary (airport code YYC). \u00a0It is a beautiful ride from the airport to Banff.
