Therefore, we plan to establish an\u00a0infrastructure at five (or possibly more) selected OCW sites with an aim\u00a0to create an inter-OCW site recommender system.<\/p>\n<p>The technical task of the OCWC Challenge will require from each\u00a0participant to create a recommending module in a form of a web service\u00a0to generate recommendations generating as many as possible cross-OCW\u00a0site end-user clicks. Challenge will provide a testing infrastructure\u00a0allowing participants to access data about the OCW training materials\u00a0and, in a form of a call-back web-service module, to propose which other\u00a0links to show to a OCW web site user. Participating modules will be\u00a0tested under AB-testing mode in real-time with real data from real users\u00a0(i.e. each proposed module will get an equal share of the actual page\u00a0views).<\/p>\n<p>Modules will be ranked based on the number of clicks their\u00a0recommendation generate and the top-ranked module will be declared the\u00a0winner.
